If at first you don’t see Bobby Cerda’s festive mural, it’s probably because there is a large mass of Dallas denizens, Instagrammers and eager photographers milling about in front of his handiwork.

Emblazoned on the wall outside what is normally Fiction Coffee, Cerda’s creation has become a must-see for residents, tourists and anyone who loves the holidays. The mural, which reads “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” is the most Instagrammed holiday mural, and has made Fiction Coffee the most popular holiday stop every season.

Ten and a half months out of the year, this creative coffee shop serves its city’s citizens as Fiction Coffee, a boutique coffee shop nestled on the corner of Hall Street and Ross Avenue. But a week or so before Thanksgiving, Fiction Coffee transforms into Deck the Hall Street, a celebration of all things Christmas offering picture-perfect holiday Instagrams in and out of the shop.

Bobby Cerda, a diehard Dallasite and designer for the Cowboys, lent his talented hand to Deck the Hall Street and created a magnificent mural. The craftsmanship that has everyone clamoring for a photo is a perfect example of what Cerda does best, as elegant design and Cerda’s script style lettering collide to form a beautiful celebration of the season.

To hear more about Cerda’s career and his design of Dallas’s premier holiday destination, listen to his Artist Uprising podcast episode. Then, head to Deck the Hall Street to grab one of their creative Christmas coffees, and take your photo in front of what is now the city’s most popular mural.
