Artist Uprising took another major step forward in its mission to abolish starving artistry.
Kicking off 2020 with a BANG, ArtUp has now partnered with Cypress Equities, a premier commercial developer, operator and manager of retail, residential and mixed use properties throughout the U.S.
Over the last 20+ years, Cypress has become a revered pioneer of "Live, Work, Play," environments. To date, the commercial developer, headquartered in Dallas, has developed and acquired more than 20 million square feet of property, with offices in New York and Atlanta.
Artist Uprising will now oversee an all-encompassing marketing strategy and creative rebrand campaign for a handful of Cypress’ “Live, Work, Play” developments. Additionally, Artist Uprising will also program on-site experiential activations, live music entertainment by local to national acts, and curate local artists in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Flagstaff, Arizona; El Paso, Texas; and Spanish Fort, Alabama in 2020.
“A big driver in using art & music to bring people together is how the arts can and should be translated through opportunities that commercial properties provide. ‘Live, Work, Play’ environments now require the curation of local talent to authenticate the millions of dollars invested into these properties," said founder & CEO of Artist Uprising, Merrick Porchéddu.
