#Scouted: Newest Nashville Band Emerges from "Smoke"

One month ago, I was in Denver where I met a band of bros.

It's funny how in life there are moments when your path crosses with another's and you know, for whatever reason, the "meet-cute" is not happenstance. My path on this day happened to intersect with three young men on their way out of the city they grew up in and on their way to Nashville, TN. (a place I once called home), where a new adventure was calling.

Aaron Wagner, the lead singer for the band called MEDIC, shares how the journey began:

“We went into this process just wanting to make music with hope. Music that made people feel like they were understood. In the midst of the trials that people go through these days, hope is something many are desperate for. For us, I think we were tired of the same old negative messages we hear so often in music. It was wearing on us, so we decided to do something about it."

MEDIC is about creating a community of thinkers, dreamers and believers that aim for something positive.

This world will continue to fall apart if we keep talking about how it’s falling apart.

Wagner reinforces the band's message with a question,

"What if we dare to be the people to figure out ways to put things back together?

That’s our message: That maybe our music can be apart of someone's healing process and hopefully our sound can spread from there.”
